Editors Note: Recovery Groups are the “lifeguards” of offroaders. Almost without exception, these teams consist of highly experienced volunteers who regularly venture into remote, rugged territory in order to rescue stranded vehicles. AAA and commercial roadside assistance companies would charge thousands of dollars for similar recoveries, IF they were even willing to attempt such feats — but these skilled recovery experts donate their time & resources for little or no compensation. Please, if you do rely on them to get you out of a predicament — make a generous donation to cover their out of pocket expenses.
