Essential engine fluids

Be prepared with spare fluids.

When we venture offroad, it is always a good practice for at least one of the group to bring along the essential spare mechanical fluids that our vehicles require.

RotopaX with a couple gallons each of extra fuel and water.

Members of our jeep club came up with the idea for this convenient kit containing: motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and power steering fluid. It all stores neatly into an inexpensive plastic “ammo” box. We added a funnel, as well. The ammo box not only serves as a handy container, but protects against any messy leakage.

In addition to these fluids, we also travel with a pair of rotopaX carrying spare gasoline and another filled with water.
